- For 9th graders, we understand you have prep-day coming up. It is ok to miss practice for your prep-day. It is not ok to miss both practices that day. If you are a team leader then we will need a letter from your adviser to excuse you for the day.
- If you have an appointment that has been scheduled for months and you will be a little late for practice, we will need a note to excuse you so you can get in the pool. Wear your swim suit under your clothes to your appointment so you will not have to take time changing once you get to the pool.
- If you are not ready to swim yet due to lack of paperwork, physical etc...you should still come to practices. They will not count but you will know what is going on when you are able to get in the water.
- We know that we have said that practice starts at 7:00am but we are expecting A LOT of kids so we need you there at 6:30 only on the first day of practice so we can get our paperwork squared away so we can get in the pool at 7:00 instead of doing paperwork.
- We expect swimmers IN the water at 7:00 and 2:45 so rolling into the parking lot at that time means you are late. Get there early so you are ready to go! Don't do your hair and makeup to come to swim practice in the morning just throw it up in a pony and get to practice! I promise we won't be judging hair!
- Sorry to be blunt but if you are on your period, you must use a tampon while swimming. We do not have a secret stash of tampons so make sure you always have some in your locker. (Pads don't work in the water)
- Bring a lock to practice because you can check out a locker. We strongly advise that you lock your gear up everyday. We have had thefts in the past so lets not tempt anyone!
- Please check our website often! It is there for your convenience!
- If there is a message that we need sent home, we expect your young ADULTS to be listening while we tell them the information and then expect them to relay the message to you when they get home.
- Be prepared for your swimmer to come home exhausted and starving after every practice. HAVE FOOD for them and naps are normal.
- Good breakfasts can be toast, some fruit, eggs. Don't drink milk or other dairy foods. That will give you serious cramps! That is not a fun way to start your day!!!
- Stop drinking soda and energy drinks! It just isn't good for you!!!
- Bring a water bottle! You should be drinking a TON of water starting NOW everyday!!!
